FIELD: processes for impregnating porous blanks, possibly used for making sliding bearing assemblies or sliding electric contacts.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing blank of carbon-containing material in cavity of closed mold whose structure corresponds to injection molding or pressure die casting mold and which has at least one cavity with configuration that exactly corresponds to that of preliminarily prepared blank; closing mold and injecting under pressure melt metal or alloy into mold cavity by means of apparatus for pressure die casting.
EFFECT: enhanced uniformity, increased filling degree of pores at impregnating blank during reduced time period.
