FIELD: metallurgy of aluminum-base alloy used for manufacture of rolled, pressed, forged semi-finished products and articles in the form of outer casing and inner power set of aircraft fuselage.
SUBSTANCE: method involves providing quenching and three-staged artificial aging, with first and third stages being performed at temperature of 79-1650C; after quenching, providing plastic deformation at the extent of 0.5-45% at temperature of 20-750C and holding for at least 2 hours at temperature not in the excess of 750C; providing artificial aging at second stage at temperature of 150-2400C. For aluminum-base alloy of Al-Mg-Si-Cu system, artificial aging at first stage is performed at temperature of 120-1650C. For aluminum-base alloy of Al-Mg-Li-Cu system, artificial aging at third stage is provided at temperature of 100-1650C.
EFFECT: increased strength and corrosion resistance of semi-finished products and articles from aluminum-base alloys.
