FIELD: production of roofing materials to form roof covering for various purpose buildings and constructions.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing asphaltic-polymeric binder including asphalt, polymeric component and filler; processing substrate in impregnation-covering baths at regulated temperatures; sprinkling powder or applying film and cooling. Asphaltic-polymeric binder is prepared with the use of atactic polypropylene, isotactic polypropylene, polyethylene production wastes, filler and asphalt. Components are mixed at temperature of 180-250⁰C. Substrate is fiber glass or polyester web. Operating temperature in impregnation-covering bath is maintained within the range of 145-155⁰C.

EFFECT: simplified composition of binder, reduced production costs and improved workability of method.
