FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: porosity of the bearing varies along the its longitudinal section. The larger porosity at the periphery in comparison to that in the central part provides enhanced deforming and improves lubrication condition over periphery of the bearing. The lesser porosity in the central part of the bearing allows the bearing to provide rather high bearing capability.
EFFECT: enhanced stability to shaft misalignment and decreased oil leakages.
