METHOD OF DISPERSION OF A CHARGE IN A BOREHOLE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2235971 C1

FIELD: mining industry; charging of boreholes at blasting operations.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with the field of mining and may be used for charging of boreholes at blasting operations. The invention may be also used at explosive works in construction. The purposes of the invention are: reduction of labor input at charging the boreholes with the dispersed charges, decrease of specific consumption of explosives, improvement of quality of preparation of the blown up rocks material, simplification of creation of the air intervals. The specified purposes are realized due to the fact, that the air intervals in a borehole are created with the help of a pneumatic borehole shuttle, which diameter exceeds the diameter of the borehole. For this purpose the pneumatic borehole shuttle composed of a rubber chamber with a nipple and a linking tube with a hollow needle, in a compressed form is put into a borehole on the linking tube down the given depth, that is adjusted with the help of the linking tube. Then it is pumped with air up to the given pressure, the linking tube is separated from the and then pump up his(its) air up to the set pressure then a connecting tube separate from pneumatic borehole shuttle and taken out from the borehole. Then a striker and a part of the charge is placed on the pneumatic borehole shuttle. Then using the same linking tube they drop the following borehole shuttle in the compressed form down to the set depth and all sequence of such actions is repeated for economically and technically substantiated number of such pneumatic borehole shuttles for a borehole.

EFFECT: the invention allows to reduce labor input at charging the boreholes, to decrease specific consumption of explosives, to improve quality of preparation of the blown up rocks material, to simplify creation of the air intervals.
