FIELD: cooking equipment used for microwave heating of food product.
SUBSTANCE: cooking vessel, adapted to be placed into cooking chamber for vapor preparing of food product by microwave energy, has lower casing made from microwave energy permeable material and filled with water. Food product accommodating plate is put with its edge onto upper edge of lower casing so that said plate is spaced from lower casing bottom. Plate is made from microwave energy impermeable material. Food product accommodating plate is equipped with plurality of through openings for penetration of vapors therethrough. Lower casing is closed with cover manufactured from microwave energy impermeable material and provided with vapor discharge opening. Cover is put with its lower edge onto upper edge of lower casing so that lower edge of cover is spaced from plate edge to allow food product to be positioned in spaced relation with respect to cover for penetration of predetermined amount of microwave energy into space under cover.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of product cooked in vessel.
