FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with creating outflow of lacrimal liquid. With the tip of YAG laser and energy at impulse mode of 85 mJ for 5-7 sec one should perform incision at the border of posterior wall of lacrimal canaliculus from its horizontal part. Then one should find canaliculus' lumen. Then with the tip of YAG laser and energy at impulse mode of 85 mJ for 13-15 sec one should dissect posterior wall of canaliculus either in the form of a circle or an oval opening to form, thus, lacrimal point. The declared method enables to shorten duration of operation and exclude secondary infection and, also, it provides better functional results in restoration of tear secretion and prevents cosmetic defect of facial skin and decreases patient's painful feelings.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
