METHOD FOR RECOVERY OF DISOBLITERATION OF LACHRYMAL PASSAGES IN RECURRENCE OF OBLITERATION AFTER DACRYOCYSTORHINOSTOMY Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F9/00

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Patient with recurrent obstruction of lachrymal passages is pre-diagnosed with an obstruction area by contrast computed tomography. If the obstruction level of the tear sac anastomosis and the nasal cavity through the upper lachrymal duct are punctured in the obstruction zone. Tube-conductor is first transposed into the produced hole in the form of a hollow tube with diameter of 5 mm and bent at angle of 60° and 10 mm long by working end and olivine narrowing with diameter of 3 mm and length of 3 mm. It is immersed at depth of 3 mm in an anastomosis. A balloon catheter is introduced through the tube-conductor, and a tube-conductor is removed. Catheter is dilated under pressure 8 atm to diameter 6 mm twice sequentially for 90 and 60 s and catheter is removed. If the lachrymal duct is obstructed at the level of the mouth of lachrymal ducts, a hole is formed through one of lachrymal ducts in a zone of obliteration with the help of a probe. A balloon catheter is introduced, dilated at pressure of 8 atm to diameter of 3 mm twice successively for 90 and 60 s and a catheter is removed.

EFFECT: method provides formation of stable epithelial fistula between cavity of lachrymal sac and nasal cavity, as well as in area of mouth of lachrymal ducts, reduced tissue traumatisation in area of recovery of disobliteration of anastomosis, reduced risk of haemorrhage, increased comfort for patient in postoperative period.
