FIELD: mechanical textile engineering; textile, chemical, aerospace and building industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for producing mineral fiber, including basalt fiber widely applicable in industries. Proposed device has cover, two hollow rings with holes to let out air, and disk secured on cone-like rotor. Surface of lower hollow ring is shaped to form changing ring nozzle for air flow getting out of holes of upper hollow ring, together with convex part of cover. Holes to let out air flow from lower hollow ring are made at preset angle relative to vertical axis of device and are located than rotating disk in form of truncated cone which is provided with cuts on its working surface. Inner wall of lower part of housing is shaped to provide, together with surfaces of hollow ring, disk and rotor, a nozzle space changing successively into cylindrical volume, diffuser and nozzle assembly. Drive is furnished with rotation mechanism and mechanism to displace rotor with disk along vertical axis.
EFFECT: provision of high-efficiency energy-saving device for producing mineral fiber, length up to 25 cm, diameter 4-7 mcm containing hard metal oxides not less than 4 mass %.
