FIELD: polymer materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-retardant acrylic material suitable for applying in structures, auto headlights, instrumental panels, light reflectors, lenses, medical diagnostic equipment, etc. Acrylic material contains 24.9094.9% acrylic composition, 5-75% halogen, and 0.1 to 25% inorganic composition selected from magnesium hydroxide/zinc oxide, magnesium hydroxide/zinc stannate, and magnesium hydroxide/antimony oxide. Acrylic composition comprises alkyl acrylate homopolymer or copolymer including acrylonitrile. Preparation procedure comprises mixing molten acrylic composition of halogen-containing polymer and inorganic composition. Fire-retardant component for use in construction includes above-indicated acrylic material, etc.
EFFECT: enhanced fire-retardant properties.
