FIELD: sum-difference signal processing antennas for automatic precision-tracking and single-pulse surveillance radar systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed low-silhouette single-pulse antenna assembly incorporating provision for controlling its parameters has flat antenna array divided into at least two sub-arrays connected to sum-difference signal processing device built around twin waveguide tee-bends; rectangular waveguide of twin tee-bend input is disposed in plane parallel to waveguide tee-connection plane in H-pane; it has common wide wall with tee-connection and is coupled with the latter through coupling window in this wall. L-shaped spike one of whose sides is designed for angular displacement in E and H planes functions for matching sum input of twin tee-bend. Difference-input waveguide is arranged perpendicular to or in parallel with sum input. Matching component in the form of spike or diaphragm is used for matching tee-bend with respect to difference input.
EFFECT: reduced requirements to precision in manufacturing antenna components; enhanced yield in industrial production.
