FIELD: antenna engineering; phased-dipole printed-circuit antenna arrays for flying vehicles supplied with power through stripline feeder circuit from waveguide power line.
SUBSTANCE: proposed radar unidimensional-scanning antenna-feeder assembly has phased antenna array incorporating symmetrical half-wave printed-circuit dipoles disposed in ordered manner above conductive screen wherefrom it is spaced through medium quarter-wavelength of operating range and feeder circuit for cophasal power supply to dipoles which is essentially phased antenna array power system incorporating series circuit for distributing current supplied from power line and sections for transferring distributed power to effective sides of dipoles; this system is provided with electronic scanning means built around phase shifters inserted into phased antenna array power system between channel outputs of mentioned power distribution circuit and inputs of sections for distributed power supply to effective sides of dipoles and phase-shifter switches connected to control units; dipoles are grouped into vertical shorted-out linear non-scanning sub-arrays, their sides forming narrow flat effective surface of phased antenna array; mentioned sub-arrays are distributed along horizontally oriented length of array surface; dipole sub-arrays are disposed in separate vertically mounted antenna modules spaced apart through antenna array pitch; compactly arranged under conductive screen in one longitudinal part of module is section made in the form of printed-stripline power splitter and used for distributed power supply to effective sides of dipoles, as well as to second phase shifter and to control unit of its switches; other part accommodates phase shifter and control unit for its switches; series circuit arrangement incorporated in feeder circuit and used to distribute power supplied from power line is made in the form of coaxial cut-in connectors mounted in housing upper wall of horizontal waveguide power line running from sending system generator; inserted in mentioned connectors are connecting posts of phase shifters incorporated in antenna modules for controlling power take-off by varying depth of post insertion into waveguide.
EFFECT: enhanced performance characteristics due to reduced electromagnetic energy and transverse dimensions of antenna array, facilitated adjustment and maintenance of antenna-feeder assembly.
