FIELD: adsorption drying of compressed air.
SUBSTANCE: proposed compressed air drying plant includes two adsorbers with electric heaters arranged inside them and connected with temperature sensors; on the outside of adsorbers there are connecting pipe lines with shut-off fittings which are filled with adsorbent; adsorbers are mounted in metal containers; body of each adsorber is provided with upper and lower air distributors; space between air distributors is filled with adsorbent; electric heaters pass through lower air distributor; air distributors are connected by means of vertical rod whose upper part passes through upper air distributor and enters loading hatch located on adsorber body; other end of said rod holds disk with cruciform guide fitted in unloading hatch located in bottom of adsorber body and connected with lower air distributor.
EFFECT: reduced power requirements; possibility of continuous delivery of cleaned air at dew point of -50 C.
