AUTOMATIC BLOCK SIGNAL SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed automatic block signal system contains track circuit including supply source, transmitter relay contact, limiting resistor, supply transformer, impulse-track relay, decoder of automatic block signal system to input of which pole of supply source is connected through contacts of impulse-track relay, and to output, signal relay is connected. Proposed system employs additionally forward and backward slow-acting repeaters of signal relay, track relay whose field circuit is connected with front contact of checking relay. Front contacts of signal relay and its repeater connected parallel to each other are connected in series with front contact of checking relay. Contact of checking relays is shunted by chain consisting of series-connected resistor and track relay own contact composing block circuit. Resting contact of signal relay and front contacts of forward repeater are placed in circuit of checking relay in series to each other.

EFFECT: improved reliability of checking condition of track section and safety.
