FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of structural high-strength steel designated for making welded constructions for different aims. Invention claims structural steel comprising components taken in the following ratio, wt.-%: carbon, 0.16-0.20; manganese, 0.60-1.00; silicon, 0.15-0.35; nickel, 0.70-1.00; chrome, 0.40-0.65; molybdenum, 0.40-0.65; vanadium 0.03-0.08; copper, 0.15-0.25; boron, 0.0005-0.0050; titanium, 0.01-0.03; nitrogen, 0.005-0.015; iron and impurities, the balance, in accomplishing the following ratios: N/(Ti + 10 x B) ≤ 0.24, and Mn + Cr + Mo ≥ 1.7. As impurities steel comprises, wt.-%: sulfur, below 0.025; phosphorus, below 0.025, and aluminium, below 0.06. Invention provides enhancing hardenability indices of the claimed steel that provides guaranteed level of consumers' properties of sheets in thickness below 65 mm and bar rolled products with diameter below 75 mm.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of steel.
