FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of high-strength structural steel designated for making high-strength industrial holders and fasteners and welded constructions of different designation. The claimed steel comprises components taken in the following ratio, wt.-%: carbon, 0.12-0.21; manganese, 0.95-1.30; silicon, 0.20-0.35; sulfur, 0.004-0.015; nickel, 0.30-0.70; chrome, 0.40-0.65; molybdenum, 0.20-0.30; vanadium, 0.03-0.08; boron, 0.0005-0.0050; aluminium, 0.030-0.060; nitrogen, 0.005-0.015; calcium, 0.0005-0.0040; iron and impurities, the balance, in accomplishing the following ratios: N/(Al + 10 x B) ≤ 0.14, and Ca/S ≥ 0.065. As impurities this steel comprises, wt.-%: phosphorus, below 0.025, and copper, below 0.2. Invention provides enhancing steel hardenability indices that provides guaranteed level of consumers' properties of sheets including their enhanced hardness and wear resistance in thickness below 52 mm, and bar rolled products with diameter below 65 mm.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of steel.
