FIELD: medicine, medicinal microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: one should sample pathological material, isolate pure cultures of agents to identify them and detect antilysozymic and anticomplementary activities (ALA and ACA, correspondingly) in them and at the level of these signs, at least, in one of these agents for pseudomonas and staphylococci ACA being either above or equal to 1.6·106 anti-LEK, and for bacteroides and peptostreptococci ACA being either above or equal to 4.9·106 anti-LEK and for all types of agents ALA being either above or equal 1.3 mcg/ml/U OP one should predict unfavorable flow of acute restricted purulent-inflammatory pulmonary and pleural disease. The method enables to increase efficiency due to possibility to predict severity of disease flow at early stages of disease and, thus, choose optimal schemes for therapy.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of prediction.
