FIELD: indicators of surveillance radars.

SUBSTANCE: a three-dimensional multicolored image of extended targets such as a ship, vessel, coast region, etc is produced on the radar display screen. Imagining of a multicolored and multistage in height image of target is provided on the screen of the color display, which ensures a separate display of closely located targets or overlapping regions of the coast line in the form of a removing cascade of partially overlapping similar multi-colored images. Strips and multistage images of a different degree of brightness are reproduced on the screen of the black-and-white indicator instead of colored steps in height of the target.

EFFECT: provided separate display of closely located targets or overlapping regions of the coast line.
