SUBSTANCE: device has light guide having shape of optically transparent plane-parallel plate, one of ends of which, directed to read document, is perpendicular to side edges of plate, and opposite end, under which a light source is placed, is slanted at certain angle to side edges of plate.
EFFECT: simplified construction, lower consumed power, higher speed of reading.
