FIELD: electrical appliances.
SUBSTANCE: main component of proposed thermoswitch is fuse link disposed in insulating tube. Flexible heat-resistant washers function to ensure alignment of fuse link within heater housing. Alignment washers are held in stressed state upon rolling the heater in machine tool and upon fusion of link they break power circuit at two points at a time and disconnect electric heater. Fuse link is connected to heating and compensating coils by compression of turns on fuse link metal thereby ensuring tight electric and thermal contact which enhances reliability of device. No additional parts are inserted between heating coil and fuse link which improves heat transfer to final element (fuse link). Heat loss in fuse link-to-contact pin connection is reduced by means of special compensating coil whose heat conductance is negligible. In addition fused metal of link is mechanically broken by means of two flexible washers.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability of thermoswitch.
