FIELD: production of filter materials from diatomite materials; preparation of drinks, liquids, chemical and pharmaceutical agents; food-processing, pharmaceutical, chemical and other industries.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes treatment of diatomite with water, removal of admixtures, mixing with flux, calcination, drying, grinding and classification; prior to treatment of diatomite with water, preparation of it is performed at separation of working fraction of 0.1-0.001 mm by making the suspensions at the following liquid-to-solid ratio: 1:9 and successive separation of sand and aleurite and finely-dispersed clay particles from fractions; classification of finished working fraction is performed by preparation of suspensions and separation of narrow fractions in time of settling of particles.
EFFECT: improved quality of filter material.
