FIELD: production processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods of production of especially pure filtering materials made of diatomites and may be used in food-manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical and other industry branches. Method of production of especially pure filtering materials made of diatomites of various qualiltative groups includes extraction of operational fractions: less than 0.10 mm and 0.10-0.001 mm, their activation by salt acid solution upon opal contain in initial diatomite over 65%, upon opal contain below 65% activation is performed only by fractions 0.10-0.001 mm. Activation is performed in mode of impregnation or boiling by salt acid with concentration from 0.5 and 3.0 n. during 1-6 hours.
EFFECT: improvement of filtering materials quality due to removal of metal oxides.
