FIELD: manufacture of large-size metallic sheets or blanks of different type metals.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of trimming welded surfaces of metallic sheets and placing onto spaced supporting members cladding sheet over clad one while keeping welding gap; placing on cladding sheet layer of explosion matter charge with initiating system; arranging first layer of loose material onto layer of explosion matter charge and over it arranging second layer of loose material or water through air gap; initiating charge of explosion matter and performing welding of cladding and clad sheets by explosion power; setting thickness of first layer of loose material equal to 1 - 3 thickness values of layer of explosion matter charge; setting thickness of second layer of loose material or water equal to 3 - 5 thickness values of explosion matter charge; setting air gap consisting 2 - 4 thickness values of layer of explosion matter charge.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of detonation of explosion matter charge, improved quality of welded joint of different metals, reduced action of shock air wave upon environment.
