FIELD: welding processes and equipment, namely apparatuses for diffusion butt welding of annular blanks of different type metals.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes vacuum chamber for placing blank. Said chamber is in the form of thin-wall fluid-tight envelope of ductile metal with wall thickness no more than 3 mm. Chamber with blanks is arranged in gasostat with heating source combined with means for compressing blanks. Heated neutral pressurized gas in closed volume of gasostat chamber is used as heating source and means for compressing blanks.
EFFECT: possibility for making welded annular blanks of different type metals with predicted axial size and for testing all welded joints of set of annular blanks.
