FIELD: armament disposal.

SUBSTANCE: invention provides a method for recovering octogene from charge of nitroglycerol-based mixed solid rocket fuel comprising: water-jet destruction of the charge to form suspension of oxidant aqueous solution and polymer matrix particles filled with dispersed octogen and plasticized nitroglycerol; removing oxidant aqueous solution from the suspension to form concentrate of polymer matrix material; suspending and neutralizing resulting concentrate in alkali aqueous solution; separating precipitated octogen from suspension; separating and washing solid phase; separating solid phase into fractions with densities ρ ~1.2, 1.2< ρ<1.8, ρ ~1.8 g/cm3 or higher; reusing fraction ρ ~1.2 g/cm3 as polymer waste; extracting octogene from fraction with density 1.2< ρ<1.8 using organic solvent; combining precipitated octogene, octogen fraction with density ρ ~1.8 g/cm3 or higher; and extracting octogene as recovered.
