FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the method for octogen modification and includes the component deposition being different in that nitroso compound is placed to water, mixed during 5÷10 min at 20±5°C up to suspension obtaining, then octogen is added at the ratio (nitroso compound+octogen) : water = 1 : 100, the mixture is stirred during 5÷10 min, then 1-2% water solution of polyacrylamide is added with stirring with weight ratio octogen : nitroso compound : polyacrylamide being equal 100:1…5:0.01…0.1, then the mixture is allowed during 60±10 min at 20±5°C.

EFFECT: modification of octogen with nitroso compound in the water solution of polyacrylamide in order to control the burning speed of the composite solid propellant and low explosives.
