FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of end seals of steam turbine high and mean pressure cylinders operating at intermediate oveheating of steam, mainly, to single-flow working cylinders. Device has unit to supply steam from any, internal or external source, with temperature lower than working temperature of first stage of rotor of mean pressure cylinder and located on section of base support means brought out of the limits of cylinder neck end face and being made with dimensions exceeding dimensions of outer end face of turbine cylinder neck. They have no axial and radial limits with due account of place of location of front end seal. Device is furnished with additional distributing chamber connected simultaneously with front end seal and with first and second stages of mean pressure cylinder through relief holes in disk of cylinder first stage and in section of diaphragm seals of second stage. Invention materially improved operation of seal and creates optimum conditions as to improvement of temperature level and effective cooling of rotor.
EFFECT: increased service life and improved reliability of rotor and turbine as a whole under and operating conditions.
