SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for measuring clearance to turbine blade heads using radio frequency and ultrasonic transducers. Proposed method includes measuring distance A between ultrasonic transducer 16 and stator casing surface 14, measuring distance B between radio frequency transducer 20 and heads 13 of rotating blades of gas turbine. Subtracting distance measured by ultrasonic transducer 16 from distance measured by radio frequency transducer 20. device contains ultrasonic transducer 16 to measure distance between stator casing surface 14 and ultrasonic transducer, radio frequency transducer 20 to measured distance between heads 13 of rotating blades of gas turbine and radio frequency transducer, ultrasonic range waveguide 18 and radio frequency range waveguide 22, calculating system 24 to receive and subtract results of measurement of ultrasonic transducer from those of radio frequency transducer.

EFFECT: increased service life of transducer owing to arrangement of transducer and electronic devices connected with transducer far from hot compartment of turbine.
