FIELD: radio detection and ranging.

SUBSTANCE: the method consists in the fact that that the area of the space, in which the search for radiocontrast objects is conducted, is preset in the form of a solid angle divided into N angular positions. The presence of target indications about the angular position is checked, where the radiocontrast object is supposed to be present, - if they are not available, the next angular position for scanning from the preset area is chosen accidentally, otherwise so that the scanning of the area would be effected in a spiral in the center of which the angular position of target indications is positioned. If there are no target indications, the antenna beam is directed to an accidentally selected angular position and the detection of radiocontrasts object is accomplished. If no radiocontrast object is detected, the next angular position is selected accidentally and detection of the radiocontrast object is continued until the radiocontrast object is detected. After the radiocontrast object is detected the range to it, the rate of closure to it and its bearings are measured. The time interval after which location of the angular position, where according to calculations the given radiocontrast object is located, is also calculated. After that the next angular positions are being scanned again. After that, when it is found that the time of servicing of the next detected radiocontrast object came, the antenna beam is directed to the angular position, where this radiocontrast object is supposed to be, location of this angular position is effected, in this case the time of location is increased. Due to the increase of the time of location is increased. Due to the increase of the time of location, the accuracy of measurement of the coordinates of the radiocontrast object approaches actually to the accuracy of the regime of continuous tracking, thus the regime of discrete tracking of the radiocontrast object is realized. If target indications are available, only the logic of selection of the next angular position is changed, according to which the scanning of the preset area is effected in a spiral, positioned in whose center is the angular position of target indications.

EFFECT: provided dynamic control of the sequence of sounding of angular directions.
