FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention involves generation of probing signals in each beam angular position of the directional pattern from successively emitted pairs of single and packet signals, successively emitted by emitters of the phased antenna arrays, where during the mode of initial scanning of the monitored space, the initial beam position of the pair of probing signals shifts to the first top beam position of the directional pattern of the phased antenna array, and the next pairs of probing signals can the region of the monitored space successively with defined delay in horizontal rows of beam positions of the directional pattern of the phased antenna array with vertical step-by-step transition and if a reflecting irregularity of the medium is detected in any of the angular positions, the displacement speed and coordinates of the said irregularity are calculated, and in the mode of tracking the said irregularity as a location object, the starting pair of probing signals shifts to the same angular position of the directional pattern as during initial scanning, but the set of delays for emitting probing signals is generated depending on the coordinates of the irregularities of the medium which are detected in corresponding angular positions for observation during the next and previous scanning the monitored space.
EFFECT: focusing of probing signals in a given small region and reduced resolution errors in space and frequency domains.
