FIELD: nondestructive inspections of objects using roentgen rays.
SUBSTANCE: device has laser; two mirrors of which first one is installed at intersection point of laser and X-ray beam axes and functions to convey laser beams concentric with respect to X-ray beams to object; linear scale; telescope designed for expanding and collimating laser radiation and for shaping actual image of luminous disk by means of second mirror; and television system. Novelty is that device lens is mounted for entering and escaping laser beam, first focus of lens being spaced from intersection point of X-ray beam axis and first mirror through distance equal to that from this point to X-ray radiator anode and that focal length of lens is specified by definite relation.
EFFECT: facilitated evaluation of object area size.
