FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has housing incorporating water reservoir with open top side, and steam nozzle connected to water reservoir. Steam generator is positioned inside reservoir and adapted for generating steam from water in reservoir. Inner cover is connected with housing and adapted for closing of reservoir top side and steam nozzle and supporting of steam generator. Outer cover is connected with inner cover and equipped with electric lead connected with steam generator and adapted for connection with lead of power unit on handle. According to other version, apparatus has housing with water reservoir, closing construction with lead adapted for connection to power unit and to vacuum cleaner switch. Said construction defines housing top wall for attachment and sealing of reservoir. Steam generator is adapted for heating of liquid and steam generation, is attached to closing construction and arranged in reservoir, when closing construction is connected to reservoir. Steam nozzle is rigidly connected to reservoir and arranged near it. In operating state, steam nozzle is connected with reservoir via steam pipe and with closing construction for directing steam jet to surface to be cleaned. Closing construction has inner cover for closing and sealing of reservoir and steam nozzle and is adapted for supporting of steam generator. Steam-jet apparatus may be attached to vacuum cleaner handle during operation thereof, said handle including power unit lead and arranged on extension suction pipe connected with vacuum housing.
