VACUUM CLEANER WITH CYCLONE-TYPE DUST-COLLECTION APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: vacuum cleaners. SUBSTANCE: vacuum cleaner includes cyclone apparatus for dust collection arranged along other axis relative to extension branch pipe joining main housing of vacuum cleaner with suction air-intake device. Such cyclone apparatus is designed for collecting duct in the form of comparatively large particles to be sucked through suction air-intake device together with air by action of centrifugal force. Cyclone apparatus includes housing of cyclone collector having first and second connection pipes joined with extension branch pipe of vacuum cleaner. At one side of cyclone dust collector there is air inlet opening joined with first connection pipe. Air discharge opening is provided on other side of cyclone collector and it is joined with second connection pipe. Housing of cyclone collector is designed for creating turbulence air flow of sucked air. Dust trap is built in housing of cyclone collector and it is designed for trapping dirt separated from air by means of turbulence air flow in housing of cyclone collector. Dust-separating grate is flared downwards from air inlet opening and it is closed at lower end. Grate has large number of fine passing holes in order to prevent dirt penetration together with air flow through air discharge opening. In lower end of grate there is member for holding dust raised together with air by means of rising air flow before dust-separating grate; it provides secondary settling of dust. Dust trap is removably mounted on housing of cyclone collector with use of fixing member. EFFECT: improved design allowing to empty dust trap only at partial separation of cyclone apparatus from extension branch pipe of vacuum cleaner. 10 cl, 12 dwg
