FIELD: medicine, resuscitation.
SUBSTANCE: one should register average dynamic, immediate dynamic and static thoracopulmonary compliances, calculate their ratio (C) by certain formula; at C being 0.8-1.2 one should evaluate the mode of assisted pulmonary ventilation (APV) to be adequate; at C being below 0.8 or above 1.2 the mode of APV is considered to be inadequate followed by performing alteration of ventilation mode; in 10 min after changing the mode of APV one should register the same parameters again, calculate C and evaluate APV adequacy. The change of APV mode should be continued to achieve C parameters correspondent to adequate APV. The present innovation enables to increase efficiency of APV based upon quantitative evaluation of its adequacy and patient's synchronization with respirator due to comparing both dynamic and static thoracopulmonary compliances.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of evaluation.
