FIELD: transport engineering; passenger cars.
SUBSTANCE: proposed suspension has lower cross arm hinge-connected with wheel steering knuckle, damping element in form of telescopic shock absorber and guide strut with flexible element in form of longitudinal leaf spring made in from of thrust cylindrical joint-step bearing whose inner part is connected with spring, and outer part is connected with wheel steering knuckle. Inner part of step bearing can be made in form of L-shaped strut enclosing the wheel from inside, and spring can be arranged over wheel, resting on horizontal flange of guide strut. Damping element can coupled car body either outer or inner part of step bearing, being connected with part either by housing or rod. Moreover, damping element can connected car body with lower arm of suspension. Inner part of step bearing can be made in from of housing of damping element whose rod is connected with car body. Outer and inner parts of step bearing can be made in form of "cylinder-piston" pair to change their relative position along their longitudinal axis by changing volume in overpiston space, for instance, by delivering liquid or gas.
EFFECT: improved efficiency in operation and increased service life of suspension at decreasing its vertical dimensions, enlarged operating capabilities.
