FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to independent automobile suspensions which can be used both on front and rear wheels of a car. Double wishbone suspension of vehicle wheel comprises swivel member, lower and upper transverse lever arms pivotally connected to swivel member, and shock strut connected to lower transverse lever. With upper and lower transverse levers, compensating mechanism is connected with possibility of moving upper transverse lever towards the swivel member and back.
EFFECT: it is achieved to reduce unsprung suspension weight, increase useful volume of engine and luggage compartments by reducing overall dimensions of suspension by significantly reducing length of the upper transverse lever and using compensating mechanism having above mentioned characteristics.
