FIELD: power plant engineering.

SUBSTANCE: machine housing has bottom case and top cover. Outlet pipe and seating shoe are disposed at case bottom and on top of case there is flange whose surface is aligned with location point of axes of revolution of Roots wheels. Cover mounts inlet pipe on its top and flange at its bottom; this flange is supported by bottom case flange and forms central steam space together with top cover to accommodate Roots wheels and two side oil cavities of which one accommodates bearing assemblies, and other cavity holds bearing assemblies and synchronizing gears. Sealing arrangements are disposed between steam space and each of side oil cavities. Steam cavity communicated with inlet and outlet pipes whose axes are aligned with each other and with line perpendicular to location plane of axes of revolution of Roots wheel shafts.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability, service life, and efficiency of machine.
