FIELD: screw expansion machines for generating power. SUBSTANCE: machine is provided with bands for relieving radial thrust from supports. Supports are made in form of two diametrically opposite chambers between shaft and housing and connected with intake and exhaust branch pipes. Steam and oil spaces are separated by means of circular seals provided with steam discharge chamber and drain chamber which may be provided with separating diaphragm for separate discharge of oil and steam. Diaphragm may be provided with circular bore which is made in center of diaphragm-to-shaft contact surface and is brought in communication with atmosphere. Left-handed or right-handed threads may be cut on shaft surface or on inner surface of diaphragm in areas between bore and both edges of diaphragm. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 5 cl, 4 dwg
