FIELD: mechanical engineering; centrifugal pumps or compressors.
SUBSTANCE: axial forces are decreased by changing liquid pressure in chamber32 formed between rotor 20 and stator 10. proposed device contains disk 40 located along rotor 20 for dividing liquid flow in chamber 32 so that entire leakage flow through ring slot is separated and delivered through clearance 42 between disk and rotor from center of pump to periphery. As a result, pressure in chamber 32 decreases and it controls axial pressure on rotor 20 which becomes independent from degree of wear of shaft seals. Invention is aimed at creating simple device which requires no servicing and operates reliably within wide range of machine operation parameters excluding dependence of axial forces from wear of machine seals.
EFFECT: provision of simple device reliable in operation.
