SUBSTANCE: the armored outer walls of the legs and the vehicle shields are used as protective members for protection of the turret against antitank fire means. The upper edge of the vehicle shields is positioned above the hull roof and restricted by the allowable lower boundary of vision of the observation instruments or sights installed on the turret roof.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of protection of the armored vehicle hull and turret.
