FIELD: medicine, thoracic surgery.
SUBSTANCE: the suggested method should be applied in case of operative interferences upon thoracic organs, particularly, at pneumoectomies and partial pulmonary resection, and, also, during tracheal operations. After suturing in the stump of bronchus or pulmonary tissue or interbronchial anastomosis either by apparatus or manual technique, suture line should be treated with gauze tampon impregnated with excessive quantity of 1%-iodonate solution. It is necessary to increase the pressure in patient's bronchial system and in case of microdefect one should visualize air bubbles in the site of its localization. Defect should be additionally sutured in with atraumatic ligatures to control hermetic nature repeatedly. The method enables to simplify control for pneumostasis during operative interferences upon thoracic organs along with accurate visualization of the defect observed.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of control.
