METHOD OF COMBINED LEFT PNEUMOECTOMY IN PATIENTS WITH LUNG CANCER Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to surgery, and can be applied in combined left pneumoectomy in patients with lung cancer in case of tumour ingrowth into posterior leaf of pericaedium, posterior wall of left pulmonary artery and lateral wall of common trunk of pulmonary artery. Method includes excision of pericardium and intrapericardial processing of vascular elements of lung root. Main bronchus is mobilised, sewn and transected retropericardially. After that, segment of posterior leaf of pericardium is exposed along which tunnel for aorta arc is formed. After that, sewing and resection of lateral wall of common trunk of pulmonary artery more medially than orifice of left pulmonary artery together with posterior leaf of pericardium are performed.

EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to increase respectability of tumour process in case of lung tumour ingrowth into posterior leaf of pericardium, posterior wall of left pulmonary artery and lateral wall of common trunk of pulmonary artery.
