SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to thoracic surgery. The suture of the trachea and bronchus is strengthened by applying to the wall of the trachea or bronchus a flap cut from a two-layer knitted nickel-titanium knitted fabric with a thread thickness of 40-50 microns. In this case, the size of the flap exceeds the formed suture in width by 10-12 mm.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the reliability and tightness of the linear and circular suture of the trachea and bronchus, reduce the risk of suture failure, increase the convenience of fixing the covering sheet material.
