FIELD: manufacture of rolled products.
SUBSTANCE: method involves using mathematical model of deformation zone for determining length Xpl of plastic portion, length Xpl.lag of lagging zone on this plastic portion and ratio Xi thereof characteristic of position of neutral section at this portion; reducing front extension extent and increasing rear extension extent in each stand, beginning from first stand, and further in succession of stands at predetermined pitch; increasing reduction extent in first stands by reducing reduction extent in terminating stand; continuing this correction procedure until maximally possible approaching to Xi=Xmax ratio is reached in maximally possible number of stands. Method may be used on multiple-stand wide cold rolling mills for manufacture of strips with high-quality surface.
EFFECT: provision for adequate purity of surface of thin cold rolled strips by operative correction of some parameters of rolling process.
