FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing acetic acid by carbonylation of methanol with carbon oxide, in particular, to a method for treatment of circulating flow of low-boiling components at the stage of rectifying acetic acid. Method is based on different solubility of acetic acid methyl iodide and hydrocarbons in water that provides isolation of hydrocarbons with minimal loss of acetic acid. For separation of hydrocarbons part of bottom layer of decanter column for separation of low-boiling components is subjected for rectifying wherein the flow removing for rectifying is washed out with water preliminary and/or with washing out waters from manufacturing acetic acid and formed aqueous solution is fed to the synthesis cycle. Preferably, extraction column and water, and/or washing out waters after washing out flow are used for washing out instead water feeding to the synthesis cycle for additional feeding. Invention provides simplifying technology treatment and reducing loss of acetic acid.
