FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermally strengthened aluminum-based alloys used in the form of compressed intermediate products for stringer and load-bearing set of aircraft fuselages of a variety destinations including marine aviation. Method of invention comprises casting ingots, two-step hot pressing at 430-565оС, heat treatment into solid solution at 485-565оС, hardening at cooling velocity 10 to 1000оС to temperature 20-40оС and ageing. In particular embodiments of invention, hot pressing stage is effected to produce blanc with diameter at least 2-8 times lesser that that of ingot and second hot pressing step is effected to produce finished blanc with summary degree of deformation at least 82%, whereas heat treatment into solid solution and subsequent hardening are performed during the second pressing step.
EFFECT: increased strength and corrosion resistance of compressed intermediate products and finished products therefrom.
