FIELD: quantitative determination of volume of micro-pores of activated carbons.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes moistening of specimens under test with water vapor 0.95; droop of signal of free induction of protons is used as characteristic signal; then, time of spin-spinning relaxation T2n corresponding to complete filling of micro-pores of activated carbon is determined and volume is calculated by the following formula: W0=19.6·am/(21.1-T2n), where am is amount of primary adsorption centers of activated carbon determined by deuteration method; T2n is average time of spin-spinning relaxation of protons of adsorption water corresponding to complete filling of micro-pores with water.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy.
