FIELD: water-cooled pressurized-tube reactors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed fuel assembly in particular designed for use in type RBMK reactors incorporates in addition components forming uncontrolled and/or controlled cooling water flow throttles in channels where they are disposed; uncontrolled throttle is designed to ensure steam quality at channel outlet approaching optimal value at maximal permissible energy liberation in fuel magazines with original content of fissionable nuclei and practically fully open shutoff-and-control valve at channel inlet; controlled throttle is designed to ensure almost optimal steam quality at same position of mentioned valve with energy liberation in fuel magazines varying between maximal permissible to minimal value corresponding to maximum of fissionable nuclei burnup.
EFFECT: enhanced coefficient of fuel element-to-coolant heat transfer resulting in enhanced efficiency of nuclear fuel use.
