FIELD: graphite-water reactors. SUBSTANCE: fuel assembly has hanger with central rod carrying two detachable fuel-rod magazines coaxially mounted through self-locking butt-end sections and secured between end assemblies of axial brace. Butt-end sections of each magazine are made for coupling with any butt-end section of other magazine and with any of two end assemblies of axial brace given adequate shape. Fuel assemblies can be easily remounted to reverse relative positioning of magazines so that upon their re-installation in reactor portions of fuel elements where fuel burnout is lower occur in center of reactor core and those burnt out to greater extent are on its periphery. EFFECT: enhanced total power generation and effectiveness of fissionable material utilization. 3 cl, 3 dwg
