FIELD: checking energy release in nuclear reactor process channels. SUBSTANCE: transducer has ionizing radiation detector elongated through core length and coupling line running to connector terminal leads for connecting it to secondary pieces of equipment. Transducer is provided in addition with at least two local ionizing-radiation detectors disposed beyond reactor core and relatively offset along transducer axis as well as communicating lines connecting these detectors to other terminal leads of connector. Provision is made for easy and accurate determination of coefficient of proportionality k between transducer current and fuel assembly energy release. Scanning neutron flux density in central fuel assemblies closest to fuel assemblies with transducers to find calibration factors of these transducers does not require great amount of radiation-hazard and labor-consuming work; periodic k updating procedure for all fuel assemblies with transducers is fully automated. EFFECT: simplified channel-by-channel monitoring of energy release in reactor with high degree of precision. 1 dwg
